Important results from the project

We coordinated the REVOTEX proposal, which successfully passed stage 1 and advanced to stage 2, with a full submission due by September 17, 2024. Over three months, we held weekly meetings with each work package subgroup to track progress and address issues. We compiled input from all partners to create a strong, unified application, which was submitted on time.

Expected long term effects

Within three months, we had to complete the full application. This required organizing weekly meetings with each subgroup involved in the various work packages (WPs) to track progress and address any issues related to each WP. Additionally, we compiled and refined input from all partners, shaping it into a competitive application. The task was successfully completed, and the application has been finalized and submitted.

Approach and implementation

REVOTEX aims to tackle key challenges in creating a circular, eco-friendly textile industry by improving textile sorting through spectroscopic and blockchain technologies. The project focuses on high-purity textile delamination and tests design-for-disassembly solutions. It also develops an energy-efficient chemical-enzymatic recycling technology to recover fibers, aligning with EU Ecodesign and Safe and Sustainable by Design initiatives. A traceability platform ensures transparency in recycling, particularly for polycotton
