Important results from the project

The project exceeded its goals and laid the foundation for a yearly report from the food system, provided that PUSH has continued funding. The first report of intent – now called the PUSH Report – brought together 25 actors from various sectors who formulated their concrete commitments for a health-promoting food system. The launch generated great interest and media coverage. The report has the potential to become a hub for annual follow-up, learning, and a shared direction for systemic change.

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to contribute to increased collaboration and accountability within the food system through recurring and transparent follow-up of actors’ commitments. The report has the potential to become an established tool for mobilization, learning, and communication, which in the long term can support policy development, strengthen health promotion efforts, and accelerate systemic change toward a sustainable food system.

Approach and implementation

The project began with extensive mobilization efforts, resulting in 25 concrete intentions. These were compiled into a printed report, with a foreword from Gunhild Stordalen/EAT, and structured around PUSH’s six leverage areas. The report was launched at a well-attended and highly appreciated event at Norrsken in Stockholm, featuring panel discussions and remarks from the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs. Following the event, PUSH hosted a well-received dinner and networking activities.
