Purpose and goal

The aim of REBOOT Skills is to enable workers who are at present or who wish to be employed in the manufacturing sector to access advanced digital upskilling opportunities that can help them keep pace with the latest developments in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT). Addressing skills shortages in these areas is essential if the sustainability, digitalization and green transformation challenges that are facing European manufacturing are to be overcome.

Expected effects and result

The successful realization of the project will allow to: - Reskilling and upskilling 1197 participants with digital skills that improve their employability and capability to operate users and innovators. - Enhancing the capacity of SMEs where the participants work to adopt, use and innovate digital technologies to improve sustainability, productivity and efficiency. - Creating a validated model for participating training organizations for providing sustainable training for SMEs which can scale up to other domains and target groups.

Planned approach and implementation

LTU will contribute to all the project activities, while more specifically will lead tasks related to 1) ecosystem mapping and stakeholder involvement; 2) development of course trainings; 3) monitoring and validation of changes in behavior of the learners, based on continuous evaluation process.
