Call Plastic Contract for Sustainable Plastic Use

Purpose and goal

The project aims to lay the foundation for a plastics contract focusing on the management of glass fiber composite, with a particular focus on recycling and reuse. The starting point is the wind power sector´s growing need for sustainable solutions for the management of end-of-life wind turbine blades made of glass fiber composite. The project brings together relevant actors and expertise to jointly address these challenges.

Expected effects and result

Lay the foundation for a plastics contract, which enables a more resource-efficient and circular management of fiberglass composite wind turbine blades.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is organized into four work packages: AP1- Project management, coordination and stakeholder mobilization AP2 - Development of plastic contracts and circular solutions AP3 - Verification and testing of plastic contracts in collaboration with industry stakeholders AP4 - Handover and implementation Partners: RISE, Chalmers Industriteknik, Wingbeam Sverige, Aftervind, Res Renewable, Skellefteå Kraft, Green Power Sweden, Vattenfall, Renvo, Swedish Wind Power Association, Librixer.
