Purpose and goal

The development of public e-services is moving towards a new phase. Social sustainability is becoming more in focus and this demands co production, openness and participation. Success in applying these demands has an opportunity to create and open innovation scenario that can make very interesting e-society contributions. PECOI is based on regional foresight studies and will work with these changes in an active partnership between academic research, public administration and private companies. The aim is to produce new knowledge in this field and the objectives deliver results that can be used in practical e-service development.

Expected results and effects

PECOI will deliver new knowledge and practical examples on an e-governmental development that promotes social sustainability and open innovation. The founders of this project has during the last decade established an interesting R&D environment in the field at hand, and this project will contribute to strengthen this environment as an even more interesting national and international resource.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is lead by a steering committee with representation from university, local and regional authorities and national authorities. Reference committees join other stakeholders. The central part of the project organization consists of a project manager, a scientific manager and PhD-students.
