Call Impact Innovation: Collaboration for promotion and prevention efforts within SustainGov 2024

Purpose and goal

The project addresses how a small rural municipality like Storfors can constitute a social actor in the promotion and preventive work in terms of public health, even if it is not a statutory activity. Through a system mapping, we can analyze the basic structures, dynamics, relationships and interactions that characterize a complex problem. The goal is shared system understanding at the local level, a cross-sectoral commitment from citizens, politics, business, academia and civil society.

Expected effects and result

The project is expected to result in an in-depth system mapping and shared system understanding at the local level. In the next step, to achieve system-changed results, it will require a variety of different efforts and activities towards bold goals, it can be about policy development, research-based interventions, application and implementation of new methods and tools.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will be carried out in three work packages; -Anchor, understand and mobilize -System mapping -Final reporting and insights. The project is based on understanding the "problem", proposing changes and in the next step implementing measures to change. An in-depth system mapping is developed with proposals for missions that develop methods, structures and processes for a transformation in the promotion and preventive health work.
