Important results from the project
Yes. After the project, the team: 1. Has full understanding and hands-on training of complex ultrasound/shockwave measurement systems. 2. Can work independently in a fully operational US/SW lab. 3. Is aware of current lab limitations, and has defined work-arounds (e.g. rent of equipment and space for specific tests in Norway). 4. Has completed a full evaluation of current prototypes (basic electrical and acoustic tests), and has started design improvements for next prototype iteration.
Expected long term effects
This project strengthens CSW Therapeutics’ capacity for independent, high-quality product development and verification in cardiovascular soundwave therapy. By investing in team training, and facilitating expert-led knowledge transfer, we have created a self-sustaining innovation ecosystem within the company. This accelerated knowledge transfer has increased R&D efficiency, reduced technical risks for future device iterations, and fostered a culture where continuous learning drives success.
Approach and implementation
The project structure was appropriate, focusing on training, lab setup, and prototype evaluation. However, external delays (e.g., equipment failures, late deliveries) impacted the timeline. We adapted by troubleshooting and documenting improvements needed. Despite challenges, key knowledge transfer goals were achieved and collaboration was effective.
