Purpose and goal
Projekt KPI´s (Jan 2024 - Dec 2024): Complete energy supply assessment, including green/brown field comparison and renewable energy PPAs, by June 2024. Develop a logistics plan, including feedstock availability and partnerships, by December 2024. Deliver environmental impact report and finalize site selection criteria to December 2024. Establish agreement with three key stakeholders by December 2024. Final delivery: Gantt chart for factory establishment by 2027.
Expected effects and result
Expected effects: The project aims to establish local polysilicon production in Sweden, which strengthens the supply chain for solar cells, semiconductors and battery anodes. This contributes to the green transition by securing a critical source of raw materials, reducing dependence on imports and promoting sustainable energy. The result includes increased energy security, support for technological innovation and potential economic growth through new jobs and industrial development.
Planned approach and implementation
Collaborate with Rejlers for technical consultation and facility design, and with Aurora Energy Market Research for analysis of Power Purchase Agreements (PPA). Rejlers will contribute engineering and infrastructure expertise, while Aurora will provide energy market insights and optimize PPA strategies. The implementation includes integrated project planning, with Rejlers focusing on plant construction and Aurora on energy supply analysis, which ensures efficient and sustainable polysilicon production.
