Purpose and goal
This planning project aims to prepare a strong, coordinated proposal for a transnational research project on scaling grass-based protein in the EU food system. Key goals: -Refine Excellence and Impact sections -Develop a clear implementation plan -Design collaborative, interdisciplinary work packages -Define roles, responsibilities, and compliance -Plan for stakeholder engagement, open science, and data management This work sets the stage for a high-quality proposal to the first call of the European Partnership FutureFoodS: Transforming Food Systems - reshaping food system interactions, fostering food innovations and empowering sustainable food choices.
Expected effects and result
The planning project will deliver a well-coordinated, high-quality full proposal for a transnational research project on grass-based protein production. The planning phase will strengthen the proposal’s Excellence and Impact sections, integrate interdisciplinary research, and define strategies for stakeholder engagement, open science, and data management. These efforts will increase the project’s feasibility, uptake, and long-term impact within the EU food system.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is structured into eight work packages. Key focus areas: Coordination & Compliance: Ensure smooth collaboration across countries and funders. Implementation Planning: Define structure, timelines, risk strategies, and internal communication. Data Management: Create FAIR-compliant protocols and data-sharing plans. Dissemination & Exploitation: Develop strategies for outreach, impact, and market uptake. Policy & Funding Alignment: Link the project to EU policies and explore co-funding.
