Important results from the project

Main results: - Capacity building/experience sharing among researchers, administrative managers, department and faculty management. - Detailed mapping of needs - Closer cooperation between several units within the university administration and university leadership. - Model for how large organizations can reach out/ get through by combining targeted competence-building efforts with initiatives within existing structures. - Spin-off activities and contacts/networks for future initiatives.

Expected long term effects

The project and related initiatives are expected to lead to increased awareness, confidence and capacity among researchers, teachers, faculty- and department management to handle security/risk assessments of international collaborations and to integrate these into regular work and procedures. The project is also expected to lead to clearer, more targeted and needs-based support.

Approach and implementation

Three workshops; one open to all employees, one for heads of departments and deans and one for all administrative managers. Each event consisted of presentations from external speakers and discussion of reading material/cases sent out in advance. Dialogue was held in existing bodies/forums such as the university´s research board. The activities were carried out in collaboration with several units within the central administration and the university leadership. The project timeline was followed.
