Important results from the project
The objective of the project was to improve manufacturing using analysis from Unibap´s system to detect defects in discrete manufacturing and also to analyze data production from our space computers. The project has improved the algorithms for monitoring machine learning processes, which makes the algorithms more robust over time. In addition to this, the ability to analyze production based on quality outcomes has improved, which overall has created opportunities to reduce production waste.
Expected long term effects
The project´s results will have effects partly on future industrial projects through a more complete offer with better production for the end customer. For the environment through reduced wastage and increased opportunities for better manufacturing processes and automatic reprocessing of manufactured goods. In addition to this, know-how and tools have been built up that help Unibap´s platform Spacecloud for data analysis from space.
Approach and implementation
The project consisted of 6 work packages and ran over 17 months. Total project budget was SEK 3,667,810 and grant amount granted is SEK 1,833,905. The project was run internally as a collection of several project that worked on different aspects of the main problem.
