Important results from the project
The aim of the project is to inspire young girls to use their passion as a force to create new areas of innovation and occupation. The goal is to further develop Passionista so that the model can be used in more places in Norrbotten. Five events have been held in Gällivare, Kiruna, Jokkmokk and two in Luleå to investigate how the format can be adapted based on different target groups and formats and how it is received by the target group. Through Passionista´s social media, the project has been able to create curiosity among people, as well as getting more people to carry the name Passionista.
Expected long term effects
The participants have felt inspired, they have gained new insights about themselves and their future and created new contacts between each other. We have seen differences in how to work with Passionista for 9 year olds and 18 year olds. In order to create long-term effect, we need to work with entrepreneurial thinking as early as possible. The way younger people think is more open. By talking about technology as an enabling tool during the event, we saw a positive effect in the girls´ approach to technology. The interest for Passionista is great across the country.
Approach and implementation
The target group has been young women in Norrbotten (9-18 years). Within the project, five events have been conducted around Norrbotten to test Passionista´s methodology in various contexts, both in the non-profit sector and the public sector. The event has given us facts and inputs for how Passionista can function as a scalable model and is adapted to many different needs and target groups. Passionista has proven to be appreciated and in demand and has thereby been able to make many contacts for future upscaling.
