Important results from the project
The aim of this project was to develop the product concept to a prototype, which can be verified in a clinical environment. During the project the concept was verified against users as well as in a lab environment. It seems technically possible to produce a mechanism which may create clinical value. In summary, the project has resulted in a prototype that can be used in pilot tests in a simulated clinical environment, before a more comprehensive clinical study is performed.
Expected long term effects
The project has verified the fundamental value-generating aspects of the product concept, as well as identified possible obstacles which will be taken into consideration during future product development. As a result of the project a prototype has been developed, which can be used for pilot tests prior to a clinical study.
Approach and implementation
The project´s six work packages were partially performed in parallel as several of the activities were codependent. They were performed within the planned timespan. New data arose during the project which rendered certain activities irrelevant, which is why those activities weren´t performed.
