Important results from the project

The project aimed to strengthen the collaboration between RISE AB and Linköpings Universitet within robust and reliability-based optimization of composite structures. In terms of research, we have broadened and deepened the knowledge in the research area and found new synergy effects where we see potential for continued collaboration

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The work in the research area has resulted in a journal article that we intend to submit to a journal in January 2024. Furthermore, the project parties, together with the local industry, have applied for and been granted a 3-year VINNOVA project. Regarding education, the stay has meant a lot of knowledge exchange and renewal of courses in FEM, computational technology and structural optimization.

Approach and implementation

The project worked along two main tracks, one track with a focus on research where we deepen the knowledge within the research question. The focus for the second track has been on further development of training material in structural optimization, calculation and design with a focus on composite technology. The outcome of the project has been good for both parties, where they have jointly deepened and broadened the knowledge in the research area and found new synergy effects with other departments at LiU and RISE where we see potential for future collaboration in composite technology.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
