Important results from the project

The project has fulfilled the objectives that was set up in the proposal. A Core business has been to build partnerships of various actors regarding sustainable production, as well as spreading good industrial examples that can serve as role models for manufacturing companies. SuPr has marketed the importance of establishing a more sustainable Swedish manufacturing industry. One example was the publishing of a handbook aimed at SMEs, to support the introduction of more sustainable production.

Expected long term effects

Making visible and encouraging the introduction of more sustainable production has formed a core of SuPr´s activities. This has meant that many companies have started with this work. They will also continue to introduce more sustainable production after this program period, and also further develop their ambitions in the area. The work that SuPr put in to establish the R&D program Net Zero Industry, within Impact Innovation, will have a major impact on Swedish R&D in sustainable production.

Approach and implementation

SuPr was built around establishing collaborations and initiatives between a wide range of research actors and industrial parties. Essentially, this work has gone according to plan, with new initiated ventures and R&D projects. The task of building strong industrial networks has also been carried out successfully. A challenge in the early years was the ongoing pandemic, which made start-up, staffing and dissemination activities difficult. It also meant a greater digital transformation.
