Purpose and goal

Envue Technologies is developing its patented innovation, Nanofluidic Scattering Microscopy (NSM), with the goal of commercializing NSM in the global market for bioanalytical instruments. NSM enables the study and analysis of individual biological nano-objects of great relevance in developing future medicines and vaccines. The project aims to raise the technology´s maturity level (TRL) by further developing the optical NSM detection system with associated nanofluidic chips and software.

Expected effects and result

The project is expected to increase the TRL level for NSM, which will reduce market risk and accelerate product launch by: (i) further developing the optical biosensor system, (ii) testing and validating NSM´s commercial value for bioanalysis, and (iii) strengthening the company´s position for a larger investment round. In addition, the consortium in the project is expected to lead to a strengthening of important industry relationships, enabling the exchange of expertise and knowledge. This is critical to instrument development and validation.

Planned approach and implementation

The project spans 24 months and consists of six main work packages: (i) Project management, (ii) fabrication of nanofluidic chips for NSM experiments, (iii) hardware development of NSM systems, (iv) software development for data analysis, (v) market validation for the NSM system, and (vi) business development to collect feedback and evaluate the system from potential users and customers.
