Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The purpose has been to: a) investigate the possibility of producing a domestic material based on residual currents (b) utilize residual currents from the production of edible fungi (c) evaluate the potential material and identify areas of application (d) build a consortium for step 2 proposal. The goal has been to produce a basis for the development of products from domestic materials. In accordance with our XXRR000000, we have objective that have helped us to develop specific products in the next step.
Expected long term effects
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project has led to a basic recipe for a domestic material based on bio-based residual streams. An energy-efficient renewable raw material that has the potential to be a complement to existing materials. We assess that we have achieved TRL 4 / MRL 2, technology evaluated and needs confirmed. Stakeholders are satisfied with the result and want to participate in the continuation of the project. Expected effects: a) increased demand for fossil-free products b) fossil-based alternatives are being replaced by domestic materials and manufacturing.
Approach and implementation
1. Raw materials and cultivation - production of different material recipes 2. Formation - of material 3. Material characterization - properties, potential 4. Evaluation - of prototypes via workshop 5. Summary - results Techniques tested: - compression molding - flat pressing - 3d printing - form cultivation - casting Analysis and continuation: - Material has great potential to fill a gap in the market - Suitable applications identified through a workshop - Customer specific products will be developed through SpeedUp Halland from Nov 2021 to June 2022. Partially finansed by ERUF.
