Important results from the project
This project, which fulfilled its initial goals, has set forth a fruitful and long-term relationship between Swedish academia, Singaporean stakeholders in higher education and lifelong learning, and AI-related stakeholders in both countries.
Expected long term effects
This project will initially lead to two concrete outcomes already under preparation. One comparative paper on the conceptualisation and provision of advanced digital skills in Singapore and Sweden and an international conference on the topic to be held in Stockholm around September 2025. Preliminary ideas about starting a university consortium working on these questions were set already in Singapore.
Approach and implementation
In Q2-Q3 2024, online meetings were held to plan the SE-SG collaboration, resulting in a detailed travel plan, bookings with org. and pilot project ideas on workplace pedagogy. In Oct 2024, Swedish representatives traveled to Singapore, attended GLLS 2024, and finalized an action plan for future projects. Follow-up activities in Q4 2024-Q1 2025 included reporting, dissemination, and establishing a sustainable knowledge exchange platform for ongoing collaboration.
