Purpose and goal
The project will develop and field-validate a multisensory, COTS-based prototype (TRL 6) that, through digital twins, synthetic data and edge AI, enables real-time situational awareness and robust detection of hidden drone threats in Nordic and Arctic environments. The aim is a scalable, cost-effective capability that can be integrated into existing command-and-control systems.
Expected effects and result
The project delivers a field-validated TRL-6 prototype that combines multisensory drone data, sensor fusion, and digital twins for real-time detection of concealed drone threats. The result is faster situational awareness, increased robustness against hidden threats, and a scalable dual-use technology with strong potential for both military and civilian applications.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is carried out in five work packages: requirements and architecture, integration of COTS drones and sensors, development of AI and digital twins, sensor fusion, and field validation with a Red Team. The work follows an iterative process with stepwise integration, simulation in digital twins, and final field testing.
