Status Ongoing
Venture Impact Innovation: Designing the places of the future for attractive, accessible and sustainable communities
Call Impact innovation: transition lab for the living environments of the future

Purpose and goal

The Momentum Lab will strengthen the ability of large transformation projects to identify, understand and act on the windows of opportunity that arise when land use, mobility, resource flows, stakeholder relationships and everyday life change. The goal is for more transformations to be used as levers for climate-neutral, resource-efficient and attractive development of living environments, instead of primarily delivering individual investments

Expected effects and result

The project will develop methods and lessons learned that make it easier to capture, understand and strengthen momentum in large transformation projects. The results will contribute to more investments producing broader system effects, such as increased circularity, reduced car dependence, stronger collaboration between actors and better conditions to develop, anchor and scale up sustainable solutions, forms of new governance methods nationally and create long-term value creation over time.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is organized into five work packages that establish a process to identify, analyze and strengthen momentum in large transformation projects. This includes project management, system analysis, method development, joint learning between projects and complementary innovation efforts. The work is carried out in close collaboration with relevant actors through workshops, site visits and analysis processes to develop, test, anchor and disseminate solutions with potential for scaling up.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
