Reference number
Coordinator RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 262 014
Project duration May 2026 - September 2026
Status Ongoing
Call Planning grant for international proposal 2026

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project is to strengthen the conditions for an upcoming proposal to a European call for proposals by further developing the project idea, structure and collaboration between relevant actors. The goal is to clarify the technical focus, establish a collaborative consortium and develop a feasible plan for implementation, effects and utilization. The work will result in a well-established and quality-assured proposal.

Expected effects and result

The planning project is expected to result in a competitive proposal with a strong European consortium, a well-defined technical solution and a clear plan for implementation and utilization. In the longer term, the project creates the conditions for the development of energy-efficient separation processes that can reduce energy and resource use in biorefineries, strengthen circular value chains and contribute to increased competitiveness in the European bioeconomy.

Planned approach and implementation

The planning project is carried out in four work packages: project management, technical concept development, impact and sustainability analysis and application work. The work includes consortium building, technical meetings, strategic analysis, development of industrial application cases, objective and validation strategies, and development of plans for sustainability and utilization. The result is a quality-assured and competitive proposal to HORIZON-JU-CBE-2026-RIA-01.
