Venture A new recipe for the food system - build-up phase
Call A new recipe for the food system - establishment of innovation platforms for a sustainable food system

Purpose and goal

Mission Matmiljö is an innovation platform that brings together actors from the public and private sectors, academia and civil society to transform Sweden´s food environments. The platform aims to create the conditions for sustainable and healthy eating habits through system change rather than focusing on the individual. The mission is to contribute to food environments that reflect the needs of people, society and nature by 2033.

Expected effects and result

The project is expected to result in concrete experiments and prototypes that shift norms, collaboration models, and policies related to food environments. Anticipated effects include the mobilisation of key stakeholders as change agents, increased national and international coordination, and the development of business models that combine profitability with sustainability and public health.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is structured into four work packages: (1) Idea generation and prototyping, (2) Ecosystem orchestration and mobilisation, (3) Evaluation and learning, and (4) Project coordination and strategy. Activities will be carried out in close collaboration with actors from municipalities, civil society, business, and research, as well as through strategic partnerships on national and international levels.
