Purpose and goal

All of the deliverables have been achieved: See attached final report. An innovation platform for collective use of resources has been established. A concept for global collaboration on product- and service innovation has been developed. A prototype for a financing model for a long term investment program in the million homes program has been developed. Local jobs have been created. At least one social innovation has been launched. At least one innovative product/service has been commercialized.

Results and expected effects

All of the effect goals have been achieved: See attached final report. Increase collaboration and systemize innovation in the development of million homes program areas. Strengthen Scanian organizations international collaboration for sustainable city development. New technology, new services and local jobs have been developed as a direct result of the project.

Approach and implementation

The platform lead to many innovation processes, but needs to be developed in a few areas: Successful innovations are not replicated. The property stock in Malmö is the testbed for solutions, but only a few property owners are interested. The possibility for partners to start new innovation processes through the platform is limited. A model for calculating benefits of and the need for investments is missing. New financing models haven´t gone further than social clauses. Lack of learning between innovation processes. Lack of norm critical innovation.
