Call Planning grant for international proposal 2024

Important results from the project

In accordance with the goal, the project contributed to the formation of a competitive consortium and that a well-developed proposal to Mission Cancer (HORIZON-MISS-2024-CANCER-01-05) was submitted. The health economic aspect of the proposal was strengthened by the project. This is ensured through RISE and a professor in health economics from Oxford. Ung Cancers´s participation is a guarantee that needs and perspectives of the target groups are highlighted in results and policy impact.

Expected long term effects

Strengthened research in the field, profiling of Swedish research and researchers in Europe. Better decision-making about how resources to meet long-term complications of cancer should be prioritized, with a focus on lifestyle factors. Increased understanding of how lifestyle factors interact with short- and long-term clinical outcomes. Better knowledge of the potential of digital tools to support lifestyle changes.

Approach and implementation

Coordination of the consortium took place from Sahlgrenska - VGR. The project focused on supporting the coordinator, by providing a common folder structure, providing the health economic perspective (RISE) as well as the target group and advocacy perspective (Ung Cancer). The parties synchronized their efforts and ensured that proposal was imbued with the respective perspectives. The large number of stakeholders and the focus on the call for proposals were external factors to take into account.
