Purpose and goal
In step 1 we have, by literature studies, interviews, landowner meetings and workshops, generated a compilation of knowledge about which biological values are linked to powerline corridors and how these are managed today, which technical systems for maintenance the companies use today as well as conditions in terms of operational and personal security. The project has resulted in a wish list from various stakeholders, which can be implemented to achieve large-scale implementation of the project objectives.
Expected results and effects
The project has resulted in a knowledge compilation on where the electricity grid industry stands in terms of technology and contribution to biodiversity and a list of needs from stakeholders: Increased collaboration between gridowners, landowners and other stakeholders Common platform for analysis and planning for grid owners Possibilities for alternative funding Technology development - how to meet the expected technology shift Management methods - upscaling of existing methods with support of technology Resources - ensuring future technology- and human capital
Planned approach and implementation
The project has been focusing on the power management economy, technology, security and contribution to biodiversity. The information has been collected through literature studies, 40 interviews with various stakeholders, 2 landowner meetings with private landowners, about ten project meetings and a concluding sector-wide workshop with over 50 participants from all over the country. Our analysis is that with this arrangement we have gathered and received the views of a large proportion of the people who work with or in connection with power line management in Sweden today.
