Expected long term effects

In the longer term, the research from K2 can be disseminated in the industry so that public transport really becomes an efficient and attractive solution for us to reach sustainable cities and regions. As the research is disseminated to the industry and industry participation is large, there are good opportunities for the research to bring about changes.

Approach and implementation

K2 worked to have industry representatives and researchers jointly identify the important research questions in the area of public transport. Subsequently, a variety of projects, both smaller and larger, were carried out, sometimes in collaboration between researchers and industry. Researchers came up with proposals for concrete research projects in the areas developed. Completed projects were always communicated to the industry through various communication channels.
