Important results from the project
Qualification data is now shared through a qualification database managed by MYH. This contributes to more open data in the dataspace for skills supply and lifelong learning. The database is connected to Sveriges Dataportal and Europass. Currently, qualifications from advanced vocational education programs (YH-program) are available, as well as qualifications, whose level has been determined by MYH, from industry organizations and private education providers. The goal further on is to include qualifications from other parts of the Swedish educational system and the university
Expected long term effects
By utilizing qualification data from the database, various stakeholders can create value within skills supply and lifelong learning. Service developers can build socially beneficial services, information sharing can be streamlined, and employers can quickly look up what a specific qualification entails. The database´s connection to the Europass platform supports conditions for free mobility within the EU. Clarification of qualifications and their learning outcomes contributes to facilitating work with validation, recognition, guidance, and matching.
Approach and implementation
The project has been coordinated by MYH and carried out in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, serving as a part of a larger government assignment. The work has been conducted iteratively, gradually progressing toward the project´s goal, with ongoing collaboration linked to the purpose and objectives of the government assignment. The structure has therefore been in a new organizational context developed in parallel. This has provided new experiences in cross-sectoral work with new networks between authorities and various stakeholders in education and the labor market.
