Important results from the project

The project is the result of preparatory work by Business Sweden. It was launched with the aim of helping Swedish companies in their innovation-driven global growth through the creation of a pilot platform for strategic cooperation with the Israeli high-tech innovation ecosystem. This first pilot was based on the collaboration between various innovation agents and partners both in Sweden and Israel with the objective of creating concrete dialogues and ideas for innovation projects and collaborations.

Expected long term effects

The initiative has been well received by both Swedish and Israeli innovation agents. The beginning of the long-term work of promoting Sweden as an innovation country and building long-term partners in Israel gave very good results, which was facilitated by strong interest and participation from Israeli and Swedish participants. The set project goals have been met or exceeded at all points. Several project dialogues are ongoing and will hopefully result in concrete co-creation projects. There is a strong interest from participants to continue with the initiative.

Approach and implementation

The project has been led by a Business Sweden project manager and an active team of three other people in close collaboration with Vinnova´s Innovation Scout in Tel Aviv and the Embassy of Sweden in Tel Aviv. The project group´s work has been supported by an executive committee to ensure results and focus. The results and outcomes of the project have been created through close dialogue with innovation agents and partners during the creation of the collaboration and during the conference held digitally in June 2020.
