Purpose and goal
INTERCONNECT aims at developing a holistic model-based software development environment for distributed software functions on predictable vehicle-platforms that efficiently utilise integrated TSN and legacy communication devices and subsystems. - develop a new holistic model-based software development technique; - develop a new holistic timing verification framework; - develop a new systematic development methodology; and - proof-of-concept implementation of the techniques in industrial tools (Rubus) and develop industrial prototypes for validation of the results.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to achieve the results that will provide new knowledge to extend the state of the art in model-based software development, real-time systems, schedulability analysis and resource optimisation in real-time networks and embedded systems in general and in the vehicular domain in particular. The results are expected to have a considerable impact on the state of the practice with regards to new tool prototypes and development models. The project is also expected to produce several research articles and one Licentiate thesis leading towards a PhD thesis.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is executed by three partners: Mälardalen University (MDH), HIAB and Arcticus Systems. The team from MDH consists of 4 senior researchers, 1 PhD student and 1 research engineer. Each industrial partner brings a team of industrial experts. The project is organized into 5 work packages (WPs). Each WP consists of several tasks, where each task has a driver and several participants. MDH is leading 3 WPs including the project management WP, HIAB and Arcticus are leading one WP each. A steering committee is formed, which will be overseeing the progress throughout the project.
