Important results from the project

The purpose has been to develop and test a new model for educational cooperation to contribute to a sustainable competence supply of well-educated labor on the Swedish labor market. The project has reached the overall goal and developed a research-based, innovative and interactive model for educational cooperation between working life and academia. The goals that this collaborative model should contribute to mutual knowledge development and learning for the benefit of students, employers, educational programs and local labor market regions have also been achieved.

Expected long term effects

The project has resulted in the research-based, innovative and interactive model for educational collaboration that has been developed and tested being able to be disseminated and used by advanced level educational programs within the educational field HJST, but we do not rule out that it can also be utilized much more widely than that. The model enables a broad collaboration between the academy and organizations from different industries/sectors and can contribute to a sustainable competence supply of a well-educated workforce.

Approach and implementation

The project has been carried out interactively and in close collaboration between six prominent employers from various industries/sectors in Östergötland and the Master´s program in Human Resources, Linköping University. The implementation included eleven work packages and is summarized in four steps: Step 1: Develop structures and processes for collaboration Step 2: Pilot test of collaboration in acute mode Step 3: Summative evaluation of the experiences from steps 1 and 2 Step 4: Dissemination and exploitation based on the experiences in step 1-3
