Important results from the project

The purpose of the first Integrated Learning project was to develop and launch a new model for continuous and integrated learning, with the objective to assure that cutting-edge knowledge held by advanced experts could be easily shared. The main output of the project is to bring together major Swedish stakeholders for a future systematic approach to develop a framework and a Swedish Model for continuous learning. This has been fulfilled, since the Integrated Learning Model is delivered, and that further corporations and universities have joined in developing the Expert Learning Lab.

Expected long term effects

The prime business opportunity of the project outcome is that the Integrated Learning Model can be implemented for creating and sharing knowledge within and from advanced digitalization projects. The use of the Integrated Learning playbook gives practical guidelines on how to do that. The Playbook has been completed and tested in a real project and is also used in the development of learning journeys within the follow-up project.

Approach and implementation

The result was achieved through three important components. - In-depth interviews and analyzes were made of successful internal competence projects where success factors were gathered. - A survey to technical experts was sent out at each company. The answers were used to create a basis for the solution. - So-called "white papers" on related topics, were collected. The project´s parties were supported by an external project manager resource. The development work was carried out in sprints according to the Scrum method. Demos and retrospectives were important points of reference.
