Purpose and goal

The focus is to stimulate more promising entrepreneurs who can more effectively and in a shorter time build sustainable growth companies locally, regionally and nationally that solve societal challenges. The goal of the operation is to increase the number of new and knowledge-intensive growth companies in Sweden with a high level of knowledge and international market potential. Industrial technology is the basis for Innovatum Science Park and the focus of the incubator.

Expected effects and result

In the long term, the efforts are expected to have effects in the form of: • Increased number of new and knowledge-intensive growth companies in Sweden. • Increased number of research results that benefit society through innovative services and products. • More talents choosing to stay or establish themselves through a local innovation ecosystem that stimulates entrepreneurship and development.

Planned approach and implementation

To achieve the goals as a business incubator, the incubator offers a process that supports entrepreneurs and teams from early stage into growth companies with potential for an international market. The incubator is deeply integrated into Innovatum Science Park´s designated focus area Sustainable Industri where the model Incubation -> Infrastructure -> Collaboration Projects -> Networks is applied in symbiosis with academia and industry on the testbed Produktionstekniskt Centrum.
