Important results from the project
The goal of the feasibility study is to identify and develop sustainable solution approaches for the automated production of energy-efficient transport systems in small- and large-scale manufacturing. The purpose is to analyze and identify central research questions that have the potential to realize a resource-efficient and automated manufacturing for 2C adhesives in production. During the project, an FOU application to FFI circularity was created with a broad consortium. The application was submitted to Vinnova in September 2023.
Expected long term effects
The intention is to be able to implement technology for automated 2C adhesive bonding that is under development as quickly as possible and to strengthen and improve the conditions for implementation through active industrial research efforts.
Approach and implementation
Interviews and visits were made to obtain a description of areas that need to be investigated in a future FOU-project. In addition to project participating companies, Aros Polymerteknik in Västerås, Aplicator in Mölnlycke, which develops systems and sells systems for the application of adhesive-dosing equipment, and ABB, which is a system integrator for robotics and attachment equipment such as adhesive dispensers from Atlas Copco, were visited. During the project, an FOU-application ”Robust process för 2K-limning (2-CAP)” to FFI circularity was created with a broad consortium.
