Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project´s aim has been to achieve a change in the prevailing bureaucratic culture that dominates within municipal activities. The goal has been a combination of methods for innovation in the public sector that lowers the threshold to implement innovation as a natural part of the methodology. The result has exceeded expectations and led to Kiruna municipality working with the created support system for innovation completely without external funding and that the municipality is now moving forward with work on developing leadership for innovation.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** In addition to results in the form of fulfillment (see above), the project has noted effects in the form of an increased demand for support with change work in general within the municipal group. Competence developed in change work has also been applied to sustainability work, primarily within Tekniska Verken. Outside the municipality, we have already been able to note that activities within the city of Stockholm have chosen to use the "Kiruna model" as a tool.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project has been carried out with an exploratory methodology, where different methods have been tested and refined with the help of real challenges and problems within the municipal group. Personnel from various parts of the municipality´s activities have, in collaboration with researchers and process managers, methodically developed the combination of methods for innovation in the public sector that make up the "Kiruna model"
