Purpose and goal

The project Innovating Remanufacturing aims to 1) practically support companies that want to take concrete steps to transition to a circular business model through remanufacturing and 2) to actively develop a more resilient and robust society through circular component and product flows.

Expected effects and result

Project´s goals: • Practical support for companies that want to work with remanufacturing • Business model development for remanufacturing • Studying suitable methods for "state of health" assessment for selected products/pilots • Exploring digitalization for more efficient processes • Developing guidance for starting up remanufacturing processes and business • Contributing to resource efficiency, reduced climate impact and increased resilience in industry and society through increased reman

Planned approach and implementation

The project will develop practical cases and lessons learned that contribute to an increased understanding of how remanufacturing can be scaled up to an industrial scale. The overall ambition is to promote a broader implementation of remanufacturing within Swedish industry, which in turn strengthens the industry´s resilience, competitiveness and resource efficiency.
