Important results from the project

The project has largely delivered the expected results and has, to a significant extent, met the goals set from the outset. We successfully achieved proof-of-concept (PoC) for the feasibility of the SpatioOmics chemistry and software. We have established long-term collaborations and partnerships that have contributed to these results and will be instrumental in the continued development of the SpatioOmics technology toward a product that can benefit researchers and clinicians.

Expected long term effects

The results obtained represent a pivotal step in transforming SpatioOmics from an innovative idea into a promising technology for researchers and clinicians. Achieving PoC confirms its feasibility and mitigates development risks, thereby enhancing chances s for new funding and investment. These results are anticipated to lead to new IP and publications. Collectively, these outcomes lay the foundation for a commercial product that will enhance diagnostic and treatment opportunities.

Approach and implementation

The project plan primarily aimed to achieve a PoC for the feasibility of the SpatioOmics technology: 1) demonstrating a PoC for the chemistry, and 2) providing a PoC for the software used for data analysis. Upon project completion, we judge the planned activities to have been appropriate to achieve our goals. However, the main challenges we faced were related to adhering to the timeline, particularly in recruiting team members and finalizing agreements and collaboration plans with partners.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
