Important results from the project
The project largely achieved its goals. It contributed to a deeper understanding of how innovation projects can create greater impact and how systemic barriers can be addressed. The work also strengthened networks and synergies with other initiatives in the transport infrastructure sector, particularly related to Infra 4.0 and the sector’s capacity to innovate.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to contribute to improved support structures for innovation in transport infrastructure, greater ability to scale up project results, and a deeper understanding of how long-term change can be enabled in a traditionally slow-moving sector.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out as planned, using a combination of portfolio analysis, thematic studies, and interviews. The setup and methodology worked well, enabling the capture of complex systemic barriers and needs. Collaboration functioned smoothly, and no major unexpected events affected the implementation.
