Important results from the project
The overall aim of the project is to drive the change required for the regions to be able to work more information-driven. This has been done in the two tracks of the project a technical track and a track for discussion and knowledge transfer. The discussion track, with its 6 interregional working groups, has identified the necessary steps to take in the shift towards information-driven care. The technical track has focused on 1) data extraction at a region for analysis and prediction, 2) federated learning within a region, and 3) a new method for synthetic generation of health data.
Expected long term effects
The results can be summarized in four parts (see the attached project report for a more comprehensive description): 1) The two tracks of the project have delivered insights and proposals for activities for stage 2, the national system demonstrator. 2) Region Örebro´s sharp data extraction has led to important insights (legal, technical, organizational) connected to a region´s shift to info.driven care. 3) Federated learning within a region has been prepared (but not yet tested). 4) A new method for synthetic generation of health data has been tested and published.
Approach and implementation
The project had two main tracks a technical track and a track for interregional discussions and knowledge transfer. The technical track consisted of three sub-projects (data extraction, federated learning and synthetic data generation) with own responsibility for their respective sub-projects. The discussion track consisted of 6 groups that met digitally 2-3 times during the project period. The entire project group met 5 times where all sub-projects reported status. The common workspace was Teams, where documents and tips about relevant seminars, reports, etc. were shared
