Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project is to pilot test the PreSICC system together with an industrial actor. The goal is to validate the technology and business for actors in the food industry, in terms of how faster microbial analysis leads to cost savings and reduced food waste. By achieving the following objective, a good foundation for commercialization is built.

Expected effects and result

The expected results from the project is to reach commercial level with the technology in terms of eligibility requirements from the market regarding validation and performance. The effect this gives enables an expansion to more users within more market segments, as well as further commercial scale-up.

Planned approach and implementation

The design and implementation of the project is divided into 3 major sub-steps. The first step involves an evaluation of eligibility requirements for the technology prior to use in a pilot project, such as technical specifications, user requirements and how this should be implemented in current processes. Then, in step 2, a PreSICC machine with associated software is built that is ready for piloting, which is then validated in step 3.
