Important results from the project
The project met its objectives and delivered additional results. By deepening our understanding of climatological conditions and sensor differences between the US and Europe, we gained knowledge that supports future research and applications. It also fostered new networks and collaborations and initiated discussions on safe, sustainable mobility, focusing on reduced environmental impact and improved accessibility across transport modes.
Expected long term effects
The project provided deeper knowledge of climatological and technical differences between the US and Europe, strengthening prospects for commercial expansion and future research. Established networks and collaborations may lead to innovation and pilot projects. The results are also expected to support safer, more sustainable mobility, reduced environmental impact, and improved conditions for public transport, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out as planned with meetings, travel, internal development, and focused evaluations. A key part was the test area in the US, enabling hypotheses to be tested and conclusions drawn. Activities were well aligned with the project’s objectives, and it developed according to its original goals. Collaboration worked well, with good communication and commitment laying the foundation for successful completion.
