Important results from the project
The goal of the project has been achieved. A complete decision basis for technical roll out in the EU has been produced. We have also increased the knowledge of product tracking at the distribution and sales level. The project has also contributed to several strategic collaborations with both customers and technical partners. The product is verified by the market and the demand is high. There is a great need for continued dissemination of knowledge regarding product tracking and DPP.
Expected long term effects
- More sustainable retail industry
By tracking products, our users will be able to make use of already produced products before new ones are manufactured, which will be decisive in reducing overproduction.
- Better financial conditions
Our data contribute to better financial conditions for the retail industry. Partly due to reduced overproduction, but also by being able to act on actual data directly during the season.
Approach and implementation
The project has been carried out in four stages; current situation analysis, feasibility study, proof of concept and knowledge dissemination. We are satisfied with all steps in the plan and will work in the same way when we expand to new markets. We have followed the schedule even if the qualitative interviews took longer than expected. The cooperation between the project parties has worked so well that we will continue to work together.
