Purpose and goal
The project aims to develop incubator companies in GU Ventures´ incubator which is a top-rated incubator for knowledge-intensive and internationally scalable deeptech companies that are in line with the UN sustainability goals. The goal is to create economically, socially and environmentally sustainable growth companies that are based on research results and are connected to the University of Gothenburg.
Expected effects and result
With the aim of strengthening Swedish competitiveness, the project will support deeptech companies in the incubator phases Start, Build and Scale annually. The project will contribute to industrial renewal through the creation of new innovative products and services, which will lead to growth and new jobs. By utilizing the knowledge and research results that have emerged from the University of Gothenburg and its partners, it will also create added value.
Planned approach and implementation
Through the project, GU Ventures will offer idea givers and entrepreneurs support in the incubator focusing on business development, financing, organization, sustainability/impact and complementary support, as well as additional services and infrastructure for remuneration. Each phase has clear objectives and criteria to be achieved for each area. The companies´ progress through is followed up regularly and reported at least twice a year.
