Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The purpose of the trip was to see how they work at GEIC, NGI and HRI, all graphene institutes in the graphene city of Manchester. The goal was also to create contacts for future collaborations and possible commercial project. We visited all the institutes and got an insight into how in Manchester they work with graphene from industry-focused research to industry-adapted application. The visits raised ideas about how to accelerate commercial project through collaborations, but also about certain things that can be done differently in Sweden.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** We expected to learn about how we can work with graphene applications better, which we did. We are in the process of projecting an industrial pilot that will produce 1 ton of graphene. We will use this for pre-commercial samples. We wanted to create a good relationship with the institutes in Manchester in order to possibly hire them in the future to develop customer applications. We feel that we have gained an overview of what such collaborations should look like and have created relationships with those we want to collaborate with.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** We started with a visit to the Graphene Engineering Innovation Center (GEIC) where we heard a presentation about the center and how they work as well as different opportunities for us to make use of their facilities. Our hosts from GEIC also took us to National Graphene Institute (NGI) and Henry Royce Institute (HRI) where we were given a tour of the labs.
