Important results from the project
GoBeyond has developed a prototype of an inclusive evaluation model, a step-by-step process for evaluation of circular business models. As such, GoBeyond has also contributed to the long term goal to transform current pattern I access to finance by developing an evaluation process for circular business models and thereby stimulate growth in, and increased share of circular business models in trade and industry.
Expected long term effects
GoBeyond has resulted in an inclusive prototype for assessment of circular business models and a roadmap where obstacles can be avoided / new opportunities be identified for the development of a system for how future financial structures can be designed. The results have been implemented through dissemination to bank managements / venture capitalists and are expected to increase the ability to assess and finance circular business models and contribute to sustainable business / society at large. Results have been communicated through scientific and internship journals.
Approach and implementation
The innovation process has alternated between creative phases and phases of consolidation / planning / execution. The change has been important for the innovation process. Based on an initial survey of the area of circular business models and assessment, the goal was to identify what works and does not work for circular business models in the assessment process. Thereafter, prototype development and roadmap development were focused on through a scientific, co-creative approach where experimentation and evaluation of assessment processes formed the arena for innovation.
