Important results from the project

Forkcast supports restaurant planning to achieve both improved sustainability and boosted profits. In essence, schedules and inventories can be optimized if they are based on accurate sales forecasts. The purpose of the project focused on testing and developing the innovation for market-oriented application. The general objective was to confirm the validation of the commercial potential in Forkcast and advance the company towards profitability. These objectives were met successfully.

Expected long term effects

The expected results among users was that the solution could be shown to create value in relation to for example reduced food waste, improved work conditions and boosted profitability of restaurants. The project was expected to validate the market potential of the innovation and contribute to the continued development of the product in line with the user needs. The hypothesis could generally be confirmed and the project provided deepened understanding of the marked potential in various segments.

Approach and implementation

The core of the execution was operative implementation of the product. Thereby, feedback could be received from the users to guide further product development. This, in turn, could enable the implementation of the product in expanded scale. The approach was found to be appropriate and efficient. Close interaction with users was particularly critical to enable the most valuable conclusions.
