Finansing of sub-Project within Swedish futures

Purpose and goal

Global competition is fierce, the geopolitical situation is worrying and the effects of the climate crisis are apparent. Sweden is a small open economy that is dependent on the outside world in every sense. We therefore need a vision for Sweden as a technology and innovation country in the world in 2035 with a focus on competitiveness, sustainability and security. The vision work will be carried out in close collaboration with decision-makers and experts from different sectors of society.

Expected effects and result

The purpose of the project is to answer the questions: What is the situation today? Where are we headed? And most importantly: Where do we want to go? The ambition is to establish a fast-paced and cohesive project that, in addition to IVA´s 1300 members, involves politics, business, academia, representatives of the public sector and the non-profit sector

Planned approach and implementation

Overall vision report. The first vision report will be published in the fall of 2026 Continuous written reporting from the work in the technology areas. Cross-area technology discussions. During the subproject, IVA will conduct 2–4 major technology discussions. In connection with the publication of the vision reports, IVA will hold a conference. Thematic in-depth studies will complement the vision work by being designed to analyze the identified issues in more depth.
