Purpose and goal
The pilot study aims to investigate how adaptive user interfaces and 3D visualization can be integrated into emergency service vehicles to reduce the cognitive load on personnel during complex operations. The goal is to validate the needs and technical conditions for an adaptive interface that visualizes and adapts critical information during a response.
Expected effects and result
The feasibility study is expected to result in a mapping of user needs and a technical specification for a future system solution. The results will show whether an optimized presentation of response information in this environment can improve situational awareness under critical conditions. In the long term, the project is expected to contribute to safer and more effective responses, an improved working environment for operational personnel, and a more robust and efficient rescue service.
Planned approach and implementation
The feasibility study is structured in work packages that span needs analysis and testing, technical system development, and evaluation and analysis of results. The work focuses on identifying operational eligibility requirements and evaluating technical conditions for the system. Through close collaboration between Adaptivity AB and Räddningstjänsten Storgöteborg (RSG), the relevance of the project is ensured. The process is based on iterative development and close contact with end users.
