Important results from the project
The project has studied experiences from how the Robotlyftet has been used and affected small and medium-sized companies as well as, system integrators who have delivered services in connection with the automation check. The study has also identified needs that can form the basis for research and development in robotics. Of particular interest is how technologies and methods with Technology Readiness Level (TRL) at low levels are identified and which in R&D can be raised to levels that make them available for increased competitiveness of users and innovations at suppliers.
Expected long term effects
As a whole, Robotlyftet has generated an increased interest in robotisation in small and medium-sized manufacturing companies. However, it has been found that most companies find it difficult to prioritize the various activities and resources required to successfully move towards automation checks and later investment. For the individual company, many have highlighted the need for an external resource that proactively drives each company´s project within Robotilyftet.
Approach and implementation
The project has been carried out in collaboration with SWIRA. The implementation of the project was in accordance with the project application where surveys were developed for SMEs and system integrators who in various ways participated in Robotlyftet. The questionnaires were partly web-based and partly structured interviews to highlight various aspects of the web-based questionnaires. The response rate has been about 50 percent.
