Important results from the project

Enabling a new level of cross-discipline collaboration, BUMBLE´s primary benefit is reducing the time spent on modeling complex systems. On average, this process is 30% faster with blended modeling tools compared to the traditional approach. Importantly, with a focus on user satisfaction, BUMBLE has shown that 94% of engineers find blended modeling useful, and 75% prefer the project´s solutions to non-blended modeling, indicating a strong potential for adoption. consider blended modelling useful, indicating a strong potential for uptake.

Expected long term effects

Exploitation (so far) - Technology-agnostic engine for providing cross-platform and language-independent real-time collaborative capabilities for already existing language and modeling workbenches. - HoTs for the generation of synchronisation/migration transformations. - DclareForMPS - improved Dclare with BUMBLE functionalities in terms of collaboration features and blending capabilities. Standardisation - github - open-source software: platform (MPS, Eclips, EAST-ADL) Spin-off - Timing & Variability in EATOP EAST-ADL

Approach and implementation

The BUMBLE project introduced the BUMBLE features, which stand for Blended (B), Collaboration (C), Evolution (E), Traceability (T), and Non-Conformance (N). As the project progressed, these features evolved into a new categorization called BUMBLE Technology Bricks. These "bricks" represent different partial solutions being developed within the project and are used as a tool to support the project´s common technical requirements.
