Important results from the project
Three overall objectives are increased knowledge, competence and tighter cooperation. The project will be focused on environmentally adapted lubricants and the possibilities to develop tailor made lubricants for a sustainable society. The scientific goal is to formulate a model for the optimisation of additives for the minimisation of wear and control of friction in environmentally adapted lubricants. From the properties of the base liquid and additives, create a basis to predict the function in different lubricated applications.
Expected long term effects
During the project, the partial results will be presented in connection with national and international seminars/conferences. The results will even be published in scientific articles.
Approach and implementation
With a detailed experimental study of a model test, give a basis for validation in a component test. Statistical test planning is used to design the experimental plan. The study comprises synthetic esters with different polarities as well as different additives and different additive concentrations. The study even comprises various materials and contact conditions
